This hex crawl is a little strange, a little stitched-together, and entirely mine. Inspired by the idea that stories change us—and sometimes, we change them right back—it lets the horror novel I’m reading bleed directly into the landscape. Each chapter I finish becomes a new place to explore, shaped by the emotions the story stirred in me. The map shifts and grows with my fear, confusion, or dread. Monsters show up out of nowhere, sometimes quoting dialogue. There's no gold or gear to collect—just weird echoes, haunted terrain, and the creeping suspicion that the book might be reading me back.

It’s my first time making a hex crawl, and I’m learning as I go—so if something doesn’t work, or makes you tilt your head and go “huh,” please tell me. I love feedback. I wanted this to feel personal, like a journal you find under the floorboards of a haunted house, full of scribbled maps and notes in the margins. If you try it and it makes you feel a little bit watched, or gives you a dream you want to write down—that’s all I could hope for.
